In doing so, you identify knowledge gaps, communication and documentation weaknesses, and optimization opportunities with minimal time investment—no expert knowledge required.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1. Open the Checklist:
Launch the Knowledge Audit Checklist in your browser. No additional software installation is necessary.
- 2. Review the Checkpoints:
The checklist is divided into the following core topic areas:
- Knowledge Documentation
- Team Communication
- Data Accessibility
- Knowledge Retention
- 3. Set the Status:
For each checkpoint, indicate whether it is fulfilled, open, or only partially fulfilled.
- Completed: Check the box if this item is already well implemented.
- Not fulfilled: Leave the box unchecked.
(Some versions may also offer an intermediate “Partially completed” status.) - 4. View Additional Guidance:
If any terms, topics, or requirements are unclear, consult the explanations and tips provided next to each checkpoint.
- 5. Show Results:
After you’ve completed all relevant fields, click Show Results. The tool will automatically analyze your inputs and present a clear summary:
- Completion percentage for each topic area
- Well-performing areas (“Strengths”)
- Areas needing improvement (“Improvement Areas”)
- Brief textual recommendations for next steps
- 6. Use & Export Results:
You can save the evaluation (e.g., as a JSON file) or print it directly. Use the Save and Print buttons shown after the analysis.
- 7. Reset the Checklist:
Click Reset to clear all entries and run the checklist again—ideal after implementing improvements or for periodic audits.
